Part 2: Leadership Requires Accountability

If there’s one thing people know about me, it’s this: I am a stickler for accountability.
And I make no apologies for that.
Accountability breeds professionalism. And professionalism leads to success.
True leadership starts by holding yourself accountable before you ever expect it of someone else. If a leader is not willing to own decisions, accept responsibility, and correct mistakes, the entire organization feels it.
As sheriff, accountability means clear standards. It means consistent expectations. It means ensuring deputies have the training, support, and leadership they need to perform at their highest level.
It also means transparency with the public we serve.
An accountable agency builds trust. And trust is essential in law enforcement.
Leadership without accountability is just a title. I believe in leadership that earns respect.
On June 2, vote for leadership that doesn’t shift blame, lower standards, or look the other way. Vote for a sheriff who believes accountability starts at the top and never stops.
