The Aztec Police Department hosted its annual National Night Out on Tuesday at Minium Park

I stopped by after work, and what a great turnout!

It’s inspiring to see neighbors, law enforcement, and local leaders come together in a spirit of connection, safety, and community pride.

If you’re not familiar with this event, National Night Out is an annual campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to help make our communities safer, more caring places to live.

Held on the first Tuesday of August in thousands of towns and cities across the country, the event encourages people to step outside, meet their neighbors, and build stronger relationships with local law enforcement.

Events like this are about more than food and fun. They’re about trust. When we take the time to connect as a community, we strengthen the foundation for real public safety.

Thank you to the Aztec Police Department and all the organizers for making this event a success!

I’m grateful for the opportunity to support efforts like this, where community and law enforcement come together to build something better together.
